Hope most of you remember the word chockiee right ? In our childhood what do we call chocolate ? many of us say chockiee..yea choclate is called as chockiee..children cant spell such a big word chocolate ,so as a shortcut name, chockiee..ha ha..:) . This is the chocolate which I made at home and very sure that it is very good for it doesn't have any preservatives and not too sweet for the children..
I usually dont like chocolate much , so amma used to make it for us @ home . Since these are home made you can customize it to your taste, she used to make it for us with little chocolate and less sweet. So its your turn to grab it and make it for your kids too.. :)

  • Marie biscuits : 15
  • Condensed milk : 7-8  tblspn (skimmed milk preferred)
  • Cooking chocloate : 4 cubes
  • Ghee : 2 tblspn
  • Cashew nuts : 1/4 cup (cut into very small pieces)

Procedure :
  1. Grind the biscuits and make a fine powder. sieve it . Fine powder gives you the soft structure to the chockiees.
  2. Heat 1tblspn of ghee in a pan , add cashew nuts and fry till they turn very light golden brown.
  3. Melt the chocolate by placing it in a oven or in a vessel dipped in the boiling water.
  4. Add the biscuits powder ,condensed milk, melted chocloate and fried cashew nuts in a bowl and mix well properly.
  5. Apply a little ghee to the palms and make your choice of shapes.
  6. Now your chockiees are ready to eat..:)

Note :
  • You can use  2  tblspn of choco powder instead of cooking chocolate.
