Cabbage Rice







Ingrediants:

  • Cabbage : 2 cups chopped
  • Rice : 1 cup
  • Chana dal : 1/4 cup
  • Cloves : 2
  • Cinnamon : 2 cm length
  • Elachi : 1
  • Green chillies : 2
  • Oil : 1 spoon
  • Ghee : 1 spoon
  • Salt : as per taste.

Procedure:

  1. Wash and soak rice and chana dal for 15 mins.
  2. Heat oil and ghee in a pressure cooker.
  3. Add all the spices and fry for 1 minute.
  4. Now add the chopped cabbage , chillies and fry for 5 minutes till the cabbage tender .
  5. Add soaked rice , dal , salt  and fry for 2-3 mins.
  6. Now add 2 glasses of water , let the whistle come for 3 times then simmer it for 1 minute and off .
  7. Serve with raita or pickle.
